Job description
1. Convert written material from English into Arabic, ensuring that the translated version conveys the meaning of the original as clearly as possible.
2. Translated text should be culturally and linguistically adapted to suit the reader.
Work activities
1. Read through original material and rewriting it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained
2. Use specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used
3. Provide clients with a grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the translated text
4. Use email and Internet as research tools throughout the translation process
5. Prioritize work to meet deadlines
6. Make benefit of proofreading comments received and ensure never to commit same mistakes in future projects
