QUALIFICATIONS:
· University degree or college equivalent in computer technology or equivalent experience
· Minimum 4 years of web development experience in a transactional and marketing web-based environment
· Must be fluent in English both written and verbal
SKILLS:
- 6+ years PHP web development experience with a proven track record
- 6+ years Wordpress, Javascript, and JQuery experience with a proven track record
- Excellent in JavaScript, AJAX, CSS3, HTML5 (and preprocessors like SASS or LESS)
- Experience working with JSON and RESTful APIs
- Ability to use modern frontend tools like Bower and Gulp/Grunt to manage your dependencies.
- Capable of writing complex back-end and front-end code
- Strong in Object-Oriented development
- Experience with creating, editing or modifying templates for a CMS or web development framework.
- Mobile Development (iOS, Android) an asset
- Have good knowledge of server-side web development
- Solid understanding of WCAG2.0 and developing accessible websites
- Experience in UI/UX Design
- Excellent knowledge in Responsive CSS
- Expert in cross-browser & cross-device compatibility
- Proven experience in UI Libraries, primarily JQuery
- Expert in Database design and development in MySQL
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Subversion, etc)
- • Experience in Graphic design an asset - Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- Must be up to date with the latest Web 2.0 technologies
- Solid understanding of modern browser support, accessibility and cross-browser compatibility
- Must be well-rounded / tech-savvy and up to speed with the latest internet and social media technologies
- Quick learner, and able to keep up with a fast-paced challenging work environment and under pressure
- Able to work effectively alone or as part of a team with little supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication & interpersonal skills
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Front-end and Back-end development in PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS
- Building Web and Social Media applications
- Demonstrates the ability to create clean, valid, and SEO-friendly code
- Managing Web and Social Media applications
- Developing task estimates and proposals
- Research and Development in new technologies
